1. Purpose of ReplayPath

ReplayPath is a general-purpose desktop automation tool for recording, editing, and replaying keyboard, mouse, visual-recognition, and workflow actions on your own device. It is intended for legitimate productivity, testing, accessibility, and workflow-automation purposes.

ReplayPath does not authorise or encourage unlawful activity, unauthorised access, fraud, harassment, circumvention of security or access controls, interference with third-party systems, or infringement of another person’s or service’s rights.

2. Free Software and Optional Support

ReplayPath is currently free to use. There are no subscriptions, licence keys, paid feature unlocks, user accounts, or DRM required to use ReplayPath under these Terms.

Lyon Developers may change ReplayPath’s distribution or commercial model in a future version. Any such change applies only on the terms presented with that future version and does not retroactively create a charge for an existing installation.

Optional donations are described in Section 14. A donation is never required to use ReplayPath and does not create a paid entitlement.

3. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • how you configure, record, edit, import, and run automations;
  • reviewing and testing automations before relying on them;
  • supervising automation where appropriate and using ReplayPath’s stop or Emergency Stop controls if unexpected behaviour occurs;
  • the consequences of input, clicks, keystrokes, or other actions ReplayPath performs on your instruction;
  • maintaining appropriate backups of projects and other important data; and
  • ensuring your use complies with applicable laws, regulations, workplace policies, software licences, platform rules, and third-party terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not use ReplayPath to:

  • gain unauthorised access to an account, system, network, device, application, or service;
  • steal, harvest, misuse, or unlawfully disclose credentials, personal information, or other data;
  • commit or facilitate fraud;
  • create, distribute, or deploy malware;
  • harass, stalk, threaten, or abuse another person;
  • bypass authentication, security controls, access restrictions, or other protections that you are not authorised to bypass;
  • interfere with systems, accounts, applications, or services that you do not own or do not have permission to automate; or
  • otherwise violate applicable law or the rights or terms of another person, organisation, platform, or service.

Some applications, websites, services, employers, or platforms may prohibit or restrict automation or synthetic input. ReplayPath does not guarantee that automation is permitted by any third party. You are responsible for obtaining any required permission and complying with the terms that apply to the system or service you choose to automate.

5. Third-Party Applications and Services

ReplayPath may interact with third-party applications, websites, and services running on your device by sending keyboard or mouse input and by reading on-screen content you configure ReplayPath to watch.

Lyon Developers does not control, endorse, or take responsibility for third-party applications or services, their terms, their behaviour, their availability, or any action they may take in response to automation.

ReplayPath must not be used to circumvent security, authentication, access-control, fair-use, or other protective mechanisms that you are not authorised to circumvent.

6. Automation Risks

Automation can behave differently from what you expect. Recorded actions can depend on application versions, window positions, screen resolution, display scaling (DPI), monitor configuration, timing, permissions, focus, and on-screen content.

Changes to any of those conditions can affect playback. A third-party application may also ignore, reject, or handle synthetic input differently from physical input.

Test automations in a safe, low-risk context before relying on them for important work.

7. No Guarantee of Compatibility

Lyon Developers does not guarantee that ReplayPath is or will remain compatible with any particular application, website, service, Windows version, device, hardware configuration, display configuration, or third-party update.

Compatibility may change because of factors outside Lyon Developers’ control.

8. User Content and Project Files

“User Content” means content you create, record, capture, or store using ReplayPath, including recorded actions, project files, screenshots, recognition reference images, labels, and timing information.

You retain ownership of your User Content. Lyon Developers does not claim ownership of it.

ReplayPath project files (.replaypath) can contain automation actions and may contain or reference recognition or Start Position images. Opening a project file does not itself run automation. Playback is a separate action initiated by you.

Only open and run automation projects from sources you trust. Review imported projects before playback. A malicious or careless project can cause ReplayPath to perform input you did not intend if you choose to run it.

9. Backups and Data Loss

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of project files and other data you consider important.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lyon Developers is not responsible for lost, corrupted, overwritten, or inaccessible project files or other data caused by ReplayPath, your device, third-party software, hardware failure, or other causes.

10. Software Availability and Changes

Lyon Developers may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue ReplayPath or any feature of ReplayPath.

Lyon Developers does not guarantee that a particular version, feature, download, or support channel will remain available indefinitely.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

ReplayPath is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lyon Developers disclaims warranties that may lawfully be excluded, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Without limiting the above, Lyon Developers does not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted or error-free operation;
  • perfect replay accuracy or timing;
  • compatibility with every application, website, service, device, or configuration;
  • that every automation will behave exactly as intended; or
  • preservation of project files, captured images, or other data.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lyon Developers is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss or damage arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, ReplayPath.

This includes, without limitation, loss arising from:

  • unintended automation or input;
  • incorrect clicks, keystrokes, movement, or other synthetic input;
  • lost or corrupted data, project files, or work;
  • interruption to business or workflow;
  • third-party restrictions, suspensions, compatibility changes, or other third-party actions; or
  • reliance on an automation that was not adequately tested or supervised.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent that it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13. Australian Consumer Law and Other Mandatory Rights

These Terms are subject to the Australian Consumer Law and any other mandatory consumer-protection law that applies to you.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer guarantee, right, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

Where mandatory law gives you rights that conflict with these Terms, the mandatory law prevails to the extent of the conflict.

14. Optional Donations

ReplayPath is free to use. Lyon Developers may accept optional, voluntary support through PayPal.

A donation:

  • is entirely optional;
  • is not required to use any ReplayPath feature;
  • does not unlock a feature, tier, licence, or premium service;
  • does not create a subscription or ongoing service agreement;
  • does not create a guaranteed support obligation or response time; and
  • does not guarantee that any particular feature, request, or update will be delivered.

Payment processing is handled by PayPal outside ReplayPath. ReplayPath does not receive, process, or store your payment card or PayPal account credentials.

A donation is not represented by Lyon Developers as tax-deductible unless Lyon Developers expressly states otherwise in writing.

15. Third-Party Components

ReplayPath uses third-party software components that remain governed by their own licences. Current component information is available in ReplayPath’s Third-Party Licences view, and summarised on the website’s Third-Party Notices page.

Third-party licence terms are separate from these Terms.

16. Discontinuation

You may stop using and uninstall ReplayPath at any time.

Lyon Developers may discontinue ReplayPath or a particular version where continued distribution or support becomes impractical.

Sections that by their nature should continue after use ends, including warranty, liability, ownership, and mandatory-rights provisions, continue to apply.

17. Changes to These Terms

Lyon Developers may update these Terms when ReplayPath, its distribution model, or applicable requirements change.

A materially changed version will use a new Terms version. ReplayPath may require you to acknowledge materially updated Terms before continuing to use a newer version.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia and applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Australia, without limiting any mandatory rights you may have under the law that applies to you.

Subject to any mandatory law that provides otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or ReplayPath are subject to the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Victoria, Australia.
